Park Place, A Condominium - Alexandria, VA
Up in the northwestern corner of Alexandria, Virginia is the venerable Park Place—a former apartment complex delivered in 1965 and later converted to condos for sale. With 401 residences and 15 ground floor commercial spaces, this is one of the larger developments in the area. It also offers a lot of bang for the buck.
Located at 2500 N. Van Dorn Street in the 22302 zip code, Park Place was designed in a style the melded post World War II modernism with the emerging International style that would soon dominate commercial architecture. Standing 15 stories tall, the high-rise structure is comprised of three connected wings in a semi-curvilinear shape. Park Place backs up against the I-395 and is generally considered part of the Seminary Hill neighborhood.
Condos for sale at Park Place have recently listed between the mid-$100s to the mid $200s, making them quite affordable when it comes to Alexandria—one of the priciest cities in Washington Metro. There are a number of different floor plans, from studios starting around 467 square feet to three-bedroom penthouse residences measuring 1316 square feet.
Remodeling has been up to the individual owners and you’ll find either parquet, strip hardwood or carpeted floors, with kitchens ranging from stock galley-style to modern affairs with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. All condos have spacious balconies and many also have gas fireplaces.
This full service complex offers plenty of amenities, including a massive lobby with staffed front desk, concierge service, visitor announcement and twenty-four hour security. Residents also enjoy a swimming pool, fitness center, party room, parking and extra storage. The commercial space includes some resident services, such as a convenience store and a salon.
