Lincolnia Homes For Sale in Alexandria, VA

Lincolnia is a census-designated place (CDP) in Fairfax County, Virginia with a population of approximately 16,000 residents. This high-density neighborhood is also associated with several similarly named subdivisions including Lincolnia Heights and Lincolnia Park. It has a total area of 2.9 square miles and is located north of the I-395 interstate in the western portion of Alexandria.

The Lincolnia neighborhood was originally part of a land grant given in 1726 by Lord Fairfax to a surveyor named Gabriel Adams. It was primarily farm land and country estates until the early 1900's. Unlike some areas, the development boom didn't happen all at once, but more gradually over time as homes were built by various developers. In the mid 1950's, M.T. Broyhills & Sons, known as “The Largest Builder of Brick Homes” constructed a large number of houses with various styles and floor plans which continues to represent a fair portion of available properties in the area.
