More About Fairfax Station, VA Homes For Sale
Fairfax Station is one of the more affluent neighborhoods in central Fairfax County with stately homes and price tags that can soar well over the million dollar mark. That's not to say that real estate is exclusively expensive here – there's plenty of inventory available in the mid-to-high six figure range. Still, if there's a common signature that comes to mind, it's large homes with lush green lawns and tree-lined streets, featuring Colonial, Tudor, and New Victorian styles, many of which are custom built.
Known for its woodsy semi-rural feel, Fairfax Station lies adjacent a lengthy stretch of green space to its southwest, including Hemlock Overlook Regional Park, Bull Run Marina Regional Park, Fountainhead National Park and Sandy Run Regional Park. The greenbelt adjoins the Occoquan River, known for boating and recreation. Residents also enjoy the 218-acre Burke Lake Park Marina with fishing, boating and camping. Not to be left out is South Run Park and Recreation Lake Park.
Fairfax Station has long had a reputation as a bedroom suburb – the high quality of life makes up for a few extra minutes of commuter time. The Capital Beltway, I-66 and Route 50 are all nearby, allowing easy access to federal employers on both sides of the Potomac. As for mass transit options, the VRE Station Burke Centre and the Vienna/Fairfax GMU Metro are both reasonably close. There's a couple Starbucks, a Golds Gym and favorite local eateries like Parisa Thai and George's Steak N Things. Call today today to learn more about Fairfax Station, VA homes for sale.
